“I Am Not My Body” Art Contest! This contest celebrates the freedom of expression and provides a platform for you to express your personal experiences. Your struggles, and triumphs through various artistic mediums. Through this contest, we aim to raise awareness, ignite conversations, and inspire change regarding the societal expectations and judgments placed upon human bodies.
Theme: This year theme celebrates the broad spectrum of I Am Not My Body: focusing on the issues of bullying, body image mental health and overcoming adversity. We encourage all participants to explore and express their thoughts, emotions, and personal narratives surrounding this topic I Am Not My Body through your art.
Participants are invited to reflect upon and depict any challenges they have encountered on their journey of self-acceptance, celebrating strength, resilience, and the unique beauty that lies beyond physical appearance. We encourage submissions that shed light on the impact of societal pressures, the consequences of body shaming, and the various aspects of a life that are overlooked or dismissed.
Whether through paintings, drawings, sculptures, poetry or short stories. We welcome participant to share their stories in a manner that is authentic. thought provoking, and empowering. By participating in this contest, you will have an opportunity to not only heal and grow through the creative process but also contribute to a larger conversation about body image, self-worth, and the importance of embracing one’s inner strength and beauty.

The following are the rules for entering into the I Am Not My Body Art Competitions and Exhibitions. Please read the rules and procedures in order to apply properly. Please try to follow the theme of the competition, as this is the most important aspect for the artist to consider. If you have any questions regarding the theme and its interpretation, please contact us at @Iamnotmybody.love and we will help you with the application process.
1. Agreement to Official Rules
Participation in the Art Competition constitutes entrants full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance to these Official Rules and the decision of the Five-judge-panel, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being complaint with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.

* The I Am Not My Body Art competition is open to all. All individuals entering must be at least 18 years of age.
* Competition is open to Artist in the US.

Artists are asked to submit their interpretation of the theme “I Am Not My Body.”

* Your submission must be created in physical media (no digital “paintings”) an original and concept and execution and is not a copy or reproduction of the work of another. You may enter works of art which have won awards in other Art Competition shows. Final selections for inclusion will be made by a Five-judge panel of art professionals based on artistic excellence and originality in reflection of our theme “I Am Not My Body.” Any entry that has been copied from an existing photo or image (including a painting, graphic, or advertisement), that was created by someone other than the artist is a violation of the competition rules and will not be accepted. Artwork must conform to the following restrictions:
* The theme: “I am not my body.”
* Submissions to “I Am Not My Body Art Contests will be announced
* All entries must be received coming soon pm Eastern Time (EST). Entries that are submitted before or after the Art Competition Period will be disqualified. Submission will be accepted for the duration of the Art Competition using any of the following method by mail
* Al art of any kind will not be accepted. Whether entirely made by Al, or partly made by Al.
* “I Am Not My Body” reserves the right refuse submissions based on the quality of the image, failure to meet show requirements, poor quality, the inappropriateness of content, and/ or to disqualify artwork deemed as offensive or plagiarized. As a result, the entry fee shall be forfeited, by the entrant.
* All work must be available for sale (either the original or reproduction is acceptable)
* There is no minimum or maximum size requirements for the artwork you have creative freedom and the absence of restrictions.
* You are required to Include a brief (200 word maximum) “Artist Statement” explaining your art, your creative process and/ or what the theme means to you. Criteria for Judging
* Based on the artwork submitted to our competitions, they will be judged based on the following elements of artistic expression:
* Interpretation and the clarity of the theme, to the viewer.
* Creativity, uniqueness, and originality of the depicted theme.
* Quality of artistic composition and overall design based on the theme.
* Color and tone. Balance of image within its space.
* Overall impression of the art. What is the effect of the artwork in general and as a whole?
* Overall, does the artwork stand on its own as a complete and outstanding work of art?

* Payments are made online through PayPal and the artist does not need to have a PayPal account in order to make payment. The payment option is located on the entry form. The charge on the statement will read IANMBonline. NOTE: There will Be No Return of any Entry Fees.
* Entry fee for this art competition is $25.00 per entry.
* There is no limit to the number of entries that an artist may submit.
* Entry fees does not guarantee admission into the Night of Healing Through the Arts Gala.
* Entry fees are non-refundable.
